Vintage Hand Made African Kettle Drum Huge Riveted Steel 31" Drum w/ Stand

This is a huge African tribal kettle drum made of over 50 pieces of formed and riveted iron (see pictures 8 - 11) with a goat skin head and miles of intricately woven sized rawhide. It comes with a custom made iron base to bring it up to a great side table height of 24" (61 cm).

The top drum head measure 31" in diameter (80 cm). The iron base is 12" (30 cm) tall.  The actual drum is 20" high (50 cm). With the exception of a small tear in the drum head (see picture 9) which does not effect the deep resonating boom, it has been carefully stored and on display for decades and remains in very good condition.
