Vintage Japanese 1948 One Yen Brass Coin Mikan Orange Crest Showa 23
This 1948 brass coins features the Mikan or Mandarin Orange family crest. On the obverse side is the word 日本國 "Nihon kuni" (Country of Japan), in previous years coins were stamped with Dai Nippon or "Great Japan". The date, Showa 23 or the 23th year of Showa (1948). This coin was made only from 1948 to 1950.
About the size of a penny (2 cm) and in good vintage condition.
