A guaranteed authentic and rare antique Japanese 50 sen coin minted in Tokyo in 1948. Having the characters, "Nihon Koku" (Japan) and Showa year 23 (1948) with a clear Crest of the paulownia mon (a famous family Crest) and cherry blossom (sakura) .
Overall, this coin is in very fine condition with minimal wear, a very clear strike and having all original patina. Measures 3/4" in diameter (2 cm). Approximately the size of a US quarter.
