Dimensions: approx. 4 3/4"W x 3 3/8"H (12 x 8.5 cm)
The translucent deep red shunkei lacquer reveals the underlying wood grain and is ideal for presenting tea utensils, incense burners, or small flower arrangements on a tokonoma or low table. The original storage box is included, stamped in red with 紅 (Kurenai - crimson) and stamped in ink 柾 (Masaki), indicating the workshop/maker. Light surface wear, minor rubbing and specks to the lacquer, and handling wear to the box, all consistent with age and careful use.
