Vintage Japanese Ikebana kenzan Pair Of Sun&Moon Flower Frog Flower Arranging

Sometimes called the “spiky frog” in English, the kenzan is an indispensable tool in ikebana. “Kenzan” in Japanese literally means “sword mountain”. These weighted pin beds are used to stand flowers at the correct height and angle when arranging flowers in a vase they are heavy and stay at the bottom of a water filled vase.

This one splits into a sun and moon weighs 3 oz and is 2" by 1" ( 5 x 2.5 cm).
