Vintage Japanese Iron Ikebana Vase Mikazuki 三日月花瓶 Crescent Moon 10"

This is an vintage Japanese ikebana vase called a Mikazuki Kabin 三日月花瓶 (Crescent Moon vase). This vase was used in a tokonoma (alcove in a traditional Japanese home) to display flowers. It is made of a heavy iron and has a grass seed head swaying in the breeze. It has a ring for hanging the vase.

This vase measures 10" in diameter by 3" wide (25 x 8 cm). Having been used lovingly for over nearly a century it remains in good condition. Quite a heavy piece of bronze artwork at almost 6 pounds.

A beautiful way to display any kind of flower arrangement.
