Vintage Japanese Kamakurabori Brush Box Peony Flowers Deep Red Lacquer 10"

This is a vintage Japanese Kamakurabori lidded lacquer pencil and brush box. This deep red box and black bottom interior lacquer. The flowers on the top appear to be peony. Having just been brought back from Japan this lidded container remains in good polish and in fine condition. It measures 10" by 3" by 1" (25.5 x 7.5 x 12.5 cm).
