Vintage Japanese Kutani Sakazuki Sake Cup Guinomi Gold Tone & Red 2"

This is a vintage Japanese hand painted porcelain sakazuki (sake cup) also known as a guinomi. Made in the Kutani kilns and marked accordingly 九谷. It is done in a brick red glaze hand painted with arabesque designs and patterns in gold tone. The inside is done in all bright gold.

Its size makes the perfect sake cup for sipping your evening sake or a very elegant way to sip your evening cordial! Likely a mid to late 2oth century piece it is in fine condition with no chips or hairlines. It measures 2" in diameter by about 1 1/8" tall (5 x 3 cm). Three of these cups were available at the time of listing making the hand painted quality evident.
