Vintage Japanese Large Orin Bronze Singing Bowl Buddhist Cushion & Striker 14.5”

This is a vintage Japanese ealy-mid Showa Era (c. 1930's/40's) bronze Orin (singing bowl) set complete with cushion and striker (new). All hand hammered by a master artisan.

This style of bowl is favored by Japanese Buddhist sects for is low mellow tone. Often used to begin and end meditation sessions or when praying at the family alter. This bowl measures 14.5" in diameter and stands 10.5" tall. With exception to some signs of use with scratches and minor chipping to surface black, this bronze Orin remains in excellent condition.

It has a deep mellow tone with over a 60 second sustain. Please watch the video for a sample.
