Vintage Japanese Mini Red Iron Tea Kettle Tetsubin Enamel Lined Interior Signed 4.5"

This is an vintage Japanese tetsubin (iron tea pot). It is made of cast iron and is very small, only 4.75" in diameter to steep tea. The body features a cylindrical shape with a pleasing rough brick style patter all around. the lid features a pine cone finial surrounded by cherry blossom flowers ringing the lid. The color is a unique brownish red with rust colored accents which lead to a calming, subdued appearance. It is signed. It is made of iron to hold the heat. The water from this tetsubin pours clear and will continue to do so as long as the pot is properly cared for. It measures about 5 x 5.25 x 5" including the handle and spout. We brought this pot straight from Japan and it remains in fine condition.
