Vintage Japanese Orin Bell Brass Singing

This is a Japanese mid Showa Era (c. 1940) bronze Orin (singing bowl) set complete with cushion and striker. This style of bowl is favored by Japanese Buddhist sects for is low mellow tone. Often used to begin and end meditation sessions or when praying at the family alter. This bell measures 2.75" in diameter and stands 1 1/8" tall. Weight = 2.6oz.

With exception to some signs of use with scratches and minor chipping to surface black, this bronze Orin remains in good condition.
