Vintage Japanese Orin Bell Hammered Bronze Singing Bowl w/ Cushion 4"

This is a vintage Japanese mid Showa Era (c. 1950's) bronze Orin (singing bowl) set complete with cushion and striker. This style of bowl is favored by Japanese Buddhist sects for is mellow tone. Often used to begin and end meditation sessions or when praying at the family alter.

This bell measures 4" in diameter and stands 4.5" tall on its cushion (10 x 11.5 cm). With exception to some signs of use with scratches and minor chipping to surface black, this bronze O-rin remains in good condition.
