Vintage Japanese Shamisen Stand Box (Early 1900'S) Kiri Wood W/ One Drawer

This is an early Showa era (early to mid 1900's) vintage Shamisen stand and storage box for use with one instrument. This lidded shamisen box is made of solid  kiri  (paulownia) wood with a small exterior drawer that would house strings and pegs. Old world craftsmanship - made with wooden pinned box joints (see picture 9). Hangers seems to be made of resin and are not likely original.

This instrument stand has been well cared for and with the exception of a few minor dents and scuffs and a warm aged patina, it remains in fine condition throughout.
