This high quality professional grade Japanese blade was made for a kanna plane, the mainstay of the Japanese daikusan (carpenter) c. 1950's. It was made by a Japanese master blade maker of laminated hand forged steel with the same process as is used to make traditional Japanese samurai swoTkanna is ready to be honed and fitted into a wooden dai of your making. Give it a new honing and you will be amazed at its razor sharpness.
