Vintage Japanese Signed Forged 2 3/8" Kanna Plane Blade Samurai Steel

This high quality professional grade Japanese blade was made for a kanna plane, the mainstay of the Japanese daikusan (carpenter) c. 1950's. It was made by a Japanese master blade maker of laminated hand forged steel with the same process as is used to make traditional Japanese samurai swords.

This kanna is ready to be honed and fitted into a wooden dai of your making. Give it a new honing and you will be amazed at its razor sharpness. The blade measures 2 3/8" (60mm) wide and 3 3/8" long. Old world craftsmanship for the new world craftsman!
