A beautifully hand-painted Japanese sometsuke (染付) yunomi tea cup decorated in deep indigo underglaze with expressive floral and leaf forms. The painterly style and fluid brushwork contrast areas of intense cobalt with soft cloudlike transitions, giving the design movement and depth in a distinctly early 20th-century aesthetic.

The cup has a graceful round profile and slightly irregular handmade rim that enhances its tactile, intimate quality. The underside bears a hand-painted mark in blue beneath the glaze, adding authenticity and collectible interest. The glaze shows light surface character and thoughtful kiln touches consistent with studio production of the period.
