A shin hanga woodblock print by Bakufu Ohno (大野麦風, 1888–1976) titled "Rice Reaping," published by Kyoto Hanga-in circa 1950–53. One of four prints Ohno produced on the rice cultivation cycle, this scene shows a worker turning a hand-cranked winnowing fan to separate grain from chaff, while others bundle rice sheaves nearby beneath pine-covered hills.

This print is a companion to the "Rice Harvest" print listed separately: same artist, same Kyoto Hanga-in publisher, and the same gentle, painterly rural genre style. Together they document successive stages of the rice harvest, a subject Ohno returned to often after relocating to the Kansai region.
