Yatate Japanese Portable Inkpot and Brush Meiji Period Holder 8.5”

This is a portable sumi ink pot and brush holder. Made of bronz a hallow tube holds a small sumi brush. The end holds an ink pot where cotton soaked with sumi ink acts as a stable clean way to store wet ink. A lid to close off the ink pot and brush together. It is bent to thread a cord though so it can be placed on an obi belt and secured with a natsume.
