Year of the Sheep 2027 Calendar Japanese Calligraphy Yume Dream Hand Made

Mei Ueno 上野明音: 2027 Year of the Sheep (未) Wall Calendar with Hand-Painted 夢 Yume (Dream) Calligraphy, Made in Oregon

United States (Oregon), 2026

A one-page 2027 calendar for the Year of the Sheep, printed on a soft yellow-to-white gradient. A large brush-painted 夢 (yume, “dream”) dominates the sheet, surrounded by ink-circle sheep with small, simple faces and the line “Make Space For Your Dream.” All twelve months are laid out in a Sunday-start grid below, with holidays marked in red. The calendar is printed, and the 夢 is hand painted in black ink, so no two copies are exactly alike.

In the Japanese zodiac the sheep (未, hitsuji) stands for gentleness, harmony and family, and 2027 is a sheep year. The bold black 夢 contrasts with the round, soft sheep, so the piece works as wall art as well as a calendar. A label on the front reads “Hand-finished with original calligraphy, Made in Oregon.”

It was made by Mei Ueno (上野明音), a Japanese calligrapher who works between Hillsboro, Oregon and Saga, Japan. A business card from the artist comes with it.
