Yoshitoshi Giclee Woodblock Print "Musashi Plain Moon" 100 Views of the Moon 9.5"x14"
This is a 9.5" x 14" Yoshitoshi giclée reproduction print of a Japanese Meiji era ukiyo-e (woodblock print) titled "Masashi Plain Moon" c. 1891 by the great Japanese artist Yoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839 to 1892). It is from the series "One Hundred Views of the Moon" (Tsuki no Hyakushi). The mischievous fox views it's own reflection in the lake. The original was published by Akiyama Buemon.
This is a giclée print. It is from a very high resolution scan taken of the original Yoshitoshi print in our Shogun's Gallery collection with a state of the art flat bed scanner. It is printed on acid free archival fine-art paper with highly fade resistant pigments inks. In the last photo you can see that an image of the embossing from the original has been rendered in the reproduction.
The print is in new condition.
